This lesson teaches controlled flight with Tello drones and reinforces robotics, programming, and problem‑solving. It is structured to build on prior knowledge (Swift Playgrounds, loops) and moves through differentiated, interactive activities that help every learner make progress. Ongoing checks for understanding (questioning, a quick quiz) let me gauge progress in the moment, while an exit ticket at the end prompts pupils to reflect on what felt easy, what felt hard, and why — turning practice into insight.

Learning focus: execute straight moves, point turns, and curved moves; write compact code; test and refine flight paths; and maintain safe distances while completing a “space station patrol” challenge. Students iterate on their code and configuration, discuss performance, and identify key success factors.

Embedded assessment & reflection: quick quiz • questioning during exploration • success criteria with limited code lines • upload of solutions for review • reflective exit ticket.
